Ameya is an eclectic ensemble of contemporary and traditional South Asian clothing. Launched in 2005 the collection is a reflection of the ever increasing east-west dialogue. The aesthetics behind our 'reflections' revolve around the whimsical and glamorous but remain grounded by principles which favour fair trade, chose depth over variety and quality over quantity.
 
The Ameya ideology is to have none other than your own - our designs are interested in a certain type of beautification, the type that is true to itself and indifferent to socially constructed ideas of "perfect" and "plastic" beauty.
 
Original thinking, caring and liveliness is what is projected into the making of our clothes. At Ameya we do not sideline the physique that many women naturally have, so our cuts dedicate themselves to sensualizing the female curve, and our patterns place style before fashion and playfulness before anything else.
